The looks celebrated individuality and natural texture, with each style designed to enhance the model’s own cut, colour, and growth pattern. From diffused movement to defined curls and subtle finishing details, the styling focused on texture, character, and a slightly grungy, youthful edge. This video captures the pace and atmosphere of backstage at LFW, from hands-on styling moments to final touches before the runway, offering an inside look at the craft, creativity, and rhythm of fashion week. ✨

This film was created as part of a Creative HEAD shoot in collaboration with Authentic Beauty Concept, celebrating the versatility and beauty of natural texture. Hair artist Anthony McMeiken created three distinct looks designed to enhance and work with the model’s natural hair rather than transform it. From the lively bounce of The LoFi Blowdry to the sleek finish of The Natural Dew, each style explores a different expression of texture, moving from soft volume and movement to polished, sculpted shine. The edit takes a clean, minimal aesthetic, designed to highlight the natural qualities of the hair and allow the texture, movement, and shape to speak for themselves. The result is a calm, refined visual that reflects the effortless philosophy behind Authentic Beauty Concept.

This film was created on behalf of Wella Professionals, documenting how their products brought the hair direction together backstage at VIN + OMI’s JORD show during London Fashion Week 2026. The collection explored themes of circular design, ethical innovation, and sustainability, and the hair played a key role in amplifying that message. The Richard Ward Hair team, led by Cristiano Basciu, worked with recycled and archive wigs finished in Supernatural Color by Wella Professionals, a professional colour range made with up to 100% naturally derived ingredients. Backstage, Sebastian Professional styling products were used to sculpt bold shapes and sleek, high-shine textures designed to hold under the intensity of the runway. The video aims to display the pace and collaboration backstage, showing how the right tools and products helped bring the show’s creative vision to life.

I wanted the video to capture the fast-paced energy and excitement of the L’Oréal Colour Trophy 2026 at Old Billingsgate. From bold colour to boundary-pushing creativity, this event was a celebration of the UK’s most talented hair artists, and I wanted the edit to reflect that buzz.

This video is part of a three-part artist series created for the Creative HEAD x BaBylissPRO partnership shoot, exploring the theme of Future. For this edit, the focus was on capturing the bold, architectural shapes within Syd Hayes’ work, using sharp cuts and fluid pacing to emphasise movement and structure. Syd created three striking editorial looks, each pushing the boundaries of modern hair design. From a sleek, hyper-structured silhouette to a reimagined Marcel wave with graphic rickrack texture, and finally a dramatic, voluminous curl built from layered wigs, each look explores a different interpretation of futuristic hair.

This film captures the energy backstage at the VIN + OMI DYSPHORIANA show. For the edit, I wanted the pacing to feel fast, chaotic, and high-energy, reflecting the disruptive themes explored in the collection. Alongside the backstage footage, I interviewed hair lead Karoliina Saunders, who shared the thinking behind the two standout looks of the show: a distressed, messy beehive and an explosive, sculptural style. Both were created using donated synthetic wigs, reinforcing the show’s strong focus on sustainability and re-use. With 60 models and a team of 30 stylists working at speed, the film captures the intensity, creativity, and controlled chaos that defines the backstage world of fashion week.

This video is one of three artist reels created for the Creative HEAD x BaBylissPRO partnership shoot, exploring the theme of Future. For this edit, I wanted to play with the idea of old versus new, mixing black-and-white moments with morph transitions to create a visual that feels both archival and futuristic. Hairdresser Lauren Bell drew inspiration from ’90s Mugler silhouettes, alien forms, and sculptural Barbie references, creating two editorial looks that blur the line between past and future. I used my old video camera to create more movement in the shot and give that nostalgic 90s feel. I loved how this piece turned out.

I captured and edited this piece at the Central Saint Martins BA Fashion Show, supported by L’Oréal Professionnel, where graduating designers presented their final collections on the runway. With no set brief, the designers were given complete creative freedom, resulting in bold, imaginative collections that pushed boundaries in both form and concept. I wanted my edit to reflect that same sense of freedom and experimentation, mirroring the energy and individuality shown on the runway. Led by Paul Davey and supported by the L’Oréal Professionnel Portfolio Artist team, the hair direction complemented each designer’s vision, bringing the looks together in a dynamic celebration of emerging creative talent.

Working backstage at London Fashion Week with award-winning hairdresser Anna Cofone, I captured the hair direction for Roksanda’s SS26 show. It was a fantastic opportunity to document the creative process behind the scenes, where sculptural hair design complemented the bold silhouettes and modern elegance of the collection. The looks blended sleek structure with fluid movement, reflecting Roksanda’s signature approach to colour, shape, and form as the brand celebrated 20 years of visionary design. This piece offers a glimpse into the energy backstage, showcasing the artistry and collaboration that bring a runway show to life.

This video captures an inspiring evening at Crafted, The Event, where Sam Burnett and the Hare and Bone team showcased their artistic and creative talents to the Davines community. The night was filled with innovation, style, and self-expression, as the team presented three modernized looks: Hair & Pony, Glitter Box, and Buffalo Spirit. Each look brilliantly blended elements of the past with contemporary flair, offering a fresh perspective on hairstyling. To match the creative energy of the event, I chose to infuse a Y2K underground DJing vibe into the video’s style, aiming to capture a cool, fashionable atmosphere. The goal was to blend old and new school elements, giving the video a timeless feel that echoed the mix of past influences and modern trends showcased by Sam and the team. Through this video, I wanted to highlight the energy and creativity that Sam and his team bring to the industry, reminding us all of the limitless possibilities within the world of hairdressing. It was an honor to document such a dynamic event, celebrating both artistry and craftsmanship.

I had the opportunity to film behind-the-scenes footage for Grace Dalgleish Hair’s 'Beyond the Canvas' show in collaboration with YUV Beauty in June 2024. This inspiring event brought together a large team with the shared vision of blending various art forms: music, dance, graffiti, and hair. My goal was to capture the essence of the show, from the energy and excitement in the preparation stages to the final presentation. It was a pleasure working with such a talented team, and I’d like to extend my gratitude to YUV Beauty for their collaboration on this project.

I was fortunate enough to produce this video for Jordanna Cobella to celebrate her British Hairdresser of the Year nomination. Using an audio recording from an interview I had with her, I pieced together content from her portfolio to tell her incredible story. As the youngest female nominee, in an industry dominated by men at the top level, Jordanna's journey is truly inspiring. From her background as a former police officer to a law school graduate, her story of determination and success is one that motivates and empowers. It was a privilege to bring her narrative to life in this piece.

In June 2024, I had the privilege of capturing a historic moment as Ashleigh Hodges became the youngest female president in the 78-year legacy of The Fellowship for British Hairdressing. To honour this milestone, I chose a black-and-white aesthetic to symbolise the heritage and significance of the event. It was an honor to also feature Errol Douglas, one of the only Black presidents in the Fellowship's history, adding another layer of history to this special occasion. This was more than just a moment in time—it was a celebration of progress, inclusivity, and the future of the industry. I’m proud to have documented such a powerful event.

In this video, I’m reflecting on the moment Zöe Irwin was named an Icon at the Fellowship for British Hairdressing—a recognition that was long overdue and deeply deserved. Zöe’s influence on the industry has been profound, and her legacy continues to inspire. One of her most significant projects, The Hackney Project, captures her unique ability to merge street culture, history, and artistry. This iconic look was recreated and presented live at President’s Night, and I wanted to share this pivotal moment with KIT’s audience, reflecting on the inspiration and creativity behind it. Drawing from Zöe’s deep connection to street culture, I incorporated graffiti visuals from Brick Lane and my favourite shots from the Hackney Project to pay homage to her work. Zöe’s commitment to inclusive hairdressing and her dedication to celebrating the cultural influences that shape her artistry have made her a true pioneer in the industry.

This teaser was created to give a sneak peek into Grace Dalgleish's Beyond the Canvas show, in collaboration with YUV Beauty, at HairCon 2024. The event celebrated creative collaboration across hair, music, dance, and art, bringing together diverse forms of expression to create something truly unique. Inspired by Grace’s vision, the teaser hints at the innovative and bold concepts that will unfold, building suspense and excitement for what was to come.

This video was created for the Stā Thrifty event—a day that celebrated the intersection of hair, fashion, and sustainable shopping. I provided a full creative brief to guide the visuals, with the goal of editing the final piece in a Y2K-inspired style. The concept was to reflect the nostalgic yet fresh feeling that comes with buying preloved clothes—blending old-school aesthetics with a modern edge. Through quick cuts, playful transitions, and early-2000s visual elements, the video captures the fun, creativity, and conscious spirit of the event.

I had the privilege of filming and editing Conor James Doyle’s inaugural Colour Clinic in London. The event featured inspiring presentations, collaborative problem-solving, and five transformative hair makeovers that challenged the participants' skills and creativity. Conor’s unique approach to colour education, which emphasises inclusivity and neurodiversity, creates an engaging and hands-on learning environment. His sessions are designed to keep attendees fully immersed, using innovative methods to ensure everyone walks away with valuable knowledge and experience. To capture the high energy and positive atmosphere of the event, I opted for a 90s-inspired aesthetic, reflecting the vibrant, dynamic nature of the clinic.

This video highlights the incredible work of Erica Liburd (@themusecurls), who is leading a change in the hair industry. Through her platform, Texture Unravelled, Erica is empowering stylists with the confidence, skills, and respect needed to work with textured hair, promoting a more inclusive atmosphere within the industry. The video explores Erica's mission to bridge the knowledge gap surrounding textured hair, offering dynamic research and education that equips stylists with the skills to work with all hair types. It features snapshots of Erica’s diverse clientele, and I chose to present the footage in black and white to give it a timeless and powerful feel. This choice emphasizes the strength of the message, focusing on the human connection and Erica's expertise with each client. Stripping away color shifts the attention to her inclusive approach and the respect she fosters within the industry, adding emotional depth to her mission and the impact of her work. It was a privilege to help bring this important movement to light and to support Erica’s vision of a more inclusive, skilled, and confident approach to textured hair care.

This video was created to capture the fun and free-spirited vibe of White Flow in Ibiza. I provided the creative direction, sending a brief to ensure the boho aesthetic and relaxed energy of the brand were reflected in the footage. By requesting specific shots, I was able to piece together the footage in editing software to create a cohesive look that highlighted the joy of music and the effortless style of White Flow. The aim was to convey a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere, blending soft visuals with rhythmic beats to reflect the brand’s unique energy and laid-back vibe.

This video captures the vibrant energy of Afro Hair & Beauty LIVE, an event that brought together Black-owned businesses, hairdressers, and texture specialists to celebrate and elevate textured hair. Throughout the event, I conducted interviews to gain a deeper understanding of the Black and textured hair community, aiming to highlight the joy, pride, and connection within this space. One of the central themes of this video is the power of representation, particularly for children. I wanted to capture the joy of young attendees and emphasise the importance of seeing oneself represented in the hair and beauty industry. Representation isn’t just about visibility—it’s about teaching children that they are worthy, beautiful, and capable of achieving anything they set their minds to. When children see themselves reflected across all areas of life, including beauty, it instills a sense of pride and confidence that lasts a lifetime. Afro Hair & Beauty LIVE provided a platform for grassroots initiatives and Black-owned businesses to unite and share their expertise, inspiring the next generation of talent and fostering a strong sense of community. The event was a powerful reminder that embracing the beauty of textured hair is not just about beauty—it’s about freedom, empowerment, and identity. This video serves as a tribute to the strength and beauty of the textured hair community and the power of representation for the next generation. You won’t want to miss this next year.

This video was created to highlight the incredible work award winning editorial hairdresser Lauren Bell is doing to elevate the hair industry. By partnering with UAL London College of Fashion as a visiting practitioner for the BA (Hons) Hair and Make-up for Fashion course, Lauren is helping to bridge the gap between technical skill development and the critical issues shaping the future of fashion and beauty. This collaboration underscores the growing recognition of hairdressing as a highly skilled profession and adds credibility to its role in academic settings. Much of Lauren’s work is Y2K-inspired, and I wanted to reflect that energy through my visual choices. I opted for a digital beat to blend both old and new school vibes, incorporating digital camera elements to capture the essence of her unique style. This approach allowed me to mirror the nostalgic yet contemporary feel of Lauren’s work, bringing her creative vision to life while highlighting her influence on the future of the hair industry.

I edited this video for Jordanna Cobella to announce her nomination for British Hairdresser of the Year. It was an honour to have created this piece, which was recognised by Hairdressers Journal, a leading magazine in the industry. Jordanna is a powerhouse and an inspiration to women in business. She was the youngest-ever female nominee, and it was a privilege to go on to film the behind-the-scenes footage of her BHA collection.

In this video, I had the privilege of telling the inspiring story of Cici (@hair_by_catila), Senior Stylist at Cobella Salon. Cobella Salon is a space where everyone, regardless of their hair type, can feel celebrated and empowered. By using stark black-and-white imagery, I wanted to emphasise the universal beauty of hair, no matter the texture, style, or background. The contrasting tones symbolise how Cobella blends all textures into one harmonious, inclusive environment—where each client is treated with respect and confidence. Through this visual narrative, I aimed to reflect not just Cici’s personal journey into hairdressing, but also the broader message of inclusivity that defines Cobella Salon. Cici’s passion for styling hair is deeply rooted in her upbringing, where she witnessed the beauty of diverse textures being celebrated within her family. Now, as a Senior Stylist, she continues that legacy at Cobella, ensuring that every person who sits in her chair leaves feeling beautiful, confident, and empowered. This video serves as a tribute to both Cici’s story and the vibrant community at Cobella Salon, where beauty truly knows no bounds.

I had the opportunity to work with Kit Studios for 10 months, contributing to various projects both within the company and for their clients. Kit is a PR and talent agency that represents global leaders in the hair industry, including some of the top hairdressers in Britain and Europe. One of the highlights of my time there was putting together this promo video, which showcases what the agency does. I aimed for a dynamic, bold approach to highlight the diverse range of services they offer, capturing the energy and impact of their work.

This video is a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Trevor Sorbie, where I used a voiceover from his 2017 interview with Infringe Magazine to share his core message of enjoying life and pursuing your dreams. Trevor’s wisdom and resilience shine through as he reflects on the bumps along the road to success, reminding us that the journey is just as important as the destination. To capture the essence of his remarkable career, I incorporated archival footage from his past hair shows and events, paired with a film camera effect to create a nostalgic, "looking back" feel. This approach allowed me to pay tribute to his legacy while giving viewers a sense of walking through the milestones of his life and career. Trevor's pioneering techniques, like scrunch drying, the wedge, and the chop, revolutionised hairstyling in the 80s, and his impact is still felt today. It was a privilege to have his legacy recognised by his family and education team before his passing in November 2024. Through this video, I aimed to celebrate not only his artistic genius but also the passion, humility, and kindness that defined him. This video captures the spirit of Trevor’s journey and honors the unforgettable message he leaves behind: to pursue your dreams, embrace life, and keep moving forward, no matter the obstacles. Rest in Power, Trevor. 🤍

For the launch of The Curl Clinic, I had the privilege of capturing the event through a 90s-inspired lens, designed to pay homage to the essence and heritage of Brixton. The video takes on an urban feel, combining the vibrant energy of the community with the pioneering spirit of the space itself. The Curl Clinic, partnered with @texturesalonlondon, is a Black female-owned retail haven that’s all about empowering people through personalized, professional haircare. I wanted the video to reflect the unique power and beauty of textured hair, while also honouring the rich cultural heritage of Brixton. The 90s aesthetic helped evoke a sense of nostalgia, grounding the clinic’s mission in both the past and present, highlighting the community’s resilience and pride. Trina’s dedication to grassroots initiatives, her focus on inclusivity, and her empowerment message through Curl Powa were key elements I wanted to capture, as they are at the heart of The Curl Clinic. The video is a visual celebration of the power in our history, joy, and education—emphasising how this space represents not only a hair-care destination but also a symbol of belonging and cultural pride.
